Yeah, I thought that too when talking about rated vs. unrated...only from my point of view (higher rating) there is little to be gained but much to be lost. Not that I plan on losing to the lower rating players

Although I have to admit that warmaker is playing better recently.

And I am cool with Lucian's map pick and set up. Just let us know when to start and who to play. I have room to invite if needed.

i prefer just about everything unrated these days.

i can provide a game order based on some old fencing score sheets for 8 person round robin events.
the following order works. an advantage of this ordering is that the top 4 beat on each other first.
do we know that Po is actually going to participate?
rd1: 1-2 3-4 5-6 7-8
rd2: 1-3 2-4 5-7 6-8
rd3: 1-4 2-3 5-8 6-7
rd4: 1-5 2-6 3-7 4-8
rd5: 1-6 2-7 3-8 4-5
rd6: 1-7 2-8 3-5 4-6
rd7: 1-8 2-5 3-6 4-7

@ VT: I haven't seen Po in a while, but if anyone's in his games flick him a link to this thread. As for the map, the close quarters mean a quick game. I've only played it once but it has heaps of potential strategically and you end up pulling your units back the entire time to capture all the bases first so there are a few turns where you don't attack at all.

@ Streen: I'm playing you round one. Your invite. You can set the precedent for rated or unrated games.

I don't see the point in VTs setup. What do we need rounds fro? we all know who we have to play: everyone else.
Not that I highly object though, just dont see the point.
I will start sending some invites over the weekend. Guess I really need to pro-up again.

The only point I see with rounds is not having to clear out space in your HQ for 7 games at once. I'm well over on my Lucian account as is and my Naicul is closing in on 10 games. Space will be come an issue for several of us.

You're playing troy in round 1 and he should invite. Seeing as this looks confusing lemme clarify.

Round 1

Before we start though. Do let everyone know which account you'd prefer since most of us here have dual accounts. The other thing is a group vote on rated vs non-rated. We go with majority rules.

You're supposed to win them all except the one against Naicul.

The rounds make sense because like I said... mots of us don't have room.

I have 11 games on my Lucian account and 8 games on Naicul. I can't run 7 more games simultaneously so rounds are the easiest way.

LOL. I just caught up with this thread. Man i wish I could of play in this tournament(Swiss Style). This is how weewar tournaments should be played instead of single-elim. good Luck to you all.
