hi,

how do i play bots? i invited ai_ZappBrannigan - is it a bot? if not how do i play one?

yes zapp is a bot. you invite it. it was down, but now back up. it should be your turn in your game(s) against it.

it's amazing that there are only 6 games currently being played against it.

suggest you make all the bot games unrated by default. zapp's choices seemed a bit strange. will he
evolve over time (machine learning) or follow the same rules over and over again?

Zapp will stay dump I am afraid. He is a prove of concept only. But future bots might play much better. Once Zapp has lost a few more games you will not gain much by defeating him, anyway.

zapp is really f***ing dumb! do you have a list with all AIs, some more clever ones cos zapps actions doesnt make sense

i'm pretty sure it can't play with pro units

that doesn't explain why it stopped moving though. something must have gone wrong in the code.

Zapp is falling over a lot - we are looking into getting him stable. I hope we get some better bots in place soon!

I'm testing a very poor bot right now to be sure my library API calls are robust enough to use this bot for puzzles:

At the moment his gameplay algorithm is pitiful, but the fellow has enough plumbing to win against a goldfish. Feel free to invite him into a game, but larger maps will bore you.

Once I've shown that the underlying API library I have is working, I'll release the Python source for anyone who wants to try a non-Java bot.
