apparently not. if you follow the link juffe posted it says indeed that GreedyAlgorithm won.

Nope, it was never announced anywhere other than my mention of it when starting the 2nd annual tourney. I had looked into Pluto's WeewarTournaments site back then and it showed GreedyAlgorithm as the winner. I don't remember anything else about it. I looked through the Internet Archive just now to see if it archived that page or the corresponding wiki page after the final game, but it had not, so I don't know for sure whether GreedyAlgorithm won; that's just what I saw on the tournaments page at the time.

thanks spade. the main thing i've learnt from these links is that there was a time when ironcamel actually played maps other than pantano pequeno.

it says in the tangler forum link that GreedyAlgorithm won, so i'd say we go with that. this means TheChinch must have lost in the semi-final. maybe jeye remembers the other half of the tableau...

I remember I lost against LordBaer in the 2008 tourney. That means I probably got position 3. LordBaer should be number 2 then.

thanks for the info jeye. your game against LordBaer must have been a quarter final, though. the other quarter final in this half was Snowday vs Casein according to the 2nd link.
