I just made a map that reef tiles would be perfect for, that's why I thought of it. It could also make sea battles even more interesting.


You'll may have to ask Casaubon to create you a funky image, but the XML below defines the reef terrain if you wanted to play it in WeeBot. Stick it in an XML file in the Terrain mod directory and change some of your map XML terrain types from Water to Reef.

I favor a City terrain type. It could have the same move/combat effects as base/airfield/harbor. I used airfields for city terrain on my test map: http://weewar.com/map/56487

It's not ideal, but it allows for warp-speed by Raiders and other vehicles, without every hex being a base to be captured.
