Hello,

Since the new flash interface, I've been working on a little webapp that kind of do the same thing as the Weewar Stats Greasemonkey script. It's been done quick and dirty right now, but it does the job. Keep in mind that I'm not a designer neither a programmer for living. I'll be working on the visual part of the stats and I'll try to update the website every 2 days.

Any comments are welcome. You may post them here in the thread.

You need to get your api key. It will never be saved on the server. Get it at: http://weewar.com/apiToken

As for the webapp, http://weestats.com/

Thanks.

I don't want to shoot down the hard work that you've done, but to be quite honest, what incentive is there for users to use your website over the GM scripts?

The only answer I can think would be, as you say, this works in all compliant browsers without the need for GreaseMonkey. However, if you're a Firefox user like me then there's no reason for me to use this. I think a lot of Weewar users are Firefox users, and don't forget that Firefox is available on multiple platforms.

I think people aren't ignoring you on purpose, they just don't see the need for stats when they already have them in-game without needing to log into an external site.

I hope you aren't discouraged by my comments, that isn't my goal, I'm just trying to be honest.

Thank you for your comment.

I did this before there was an update to the GM script. I got it out after the update. I keep working on it cause I like to hack. As I said earlier, and as you point it out, it's only practical to ppl using a browser other than Firefox. As myself, I'm normally using Safari on a Mac and I didn't have my stats. I had to open up FF every time I wanted to play.

My webapp fixes this, and it probably wont be broken when they change the UI again.

This should be a useful tool - I deff. would have used it before I found multifox

I think that with different accounts and api key, you can open multiple tabs as oposed to multiple windows in "multifox". If you ever use an other computer than yours, you can still get your stats from my site.

well remote desktop takes care of that But if you'll set up a proxy instead of the iframe and change your domain to DailyProductivityTips.com or something like that we'll be in business!

I haven't looked at the code to see if it's possible but putting the team chat code out there too might draw more users

Thanks, I'll take a look into that.

nice work optikz!

i think this website has a role to play. sometimes i play on someone else's computer and can't just install stuff there - then this website comes in handy. another situation would be if you are in a computer lab or on some other public computer where you aren't even able to install something...
i have one suggestion: it might me helpful to add a link to the website where you can obtain your api-token. perhaps on the second page.

FYI - I've tried it with Firefox and Chrome and get a 502 Bad Gateway on both.
