Here's the post:
http://weewartimes.com/2009/12/30/announcing-weewar-times-2010-map-contest/ Quick details: The contest will begin with the publishing of this post and will end on January 31st-ish. I will close the contest to new entries sometime on the February 1st with a comment on this post that will serve as the official end of the contest. The Prize? 1 year of WeeWar Pro to the account of your choice! The Rules: - 2 Player map - Balanced - Maps must be new creations for this contest - No special rules (like turn off hovercraft) - Able to be completed in a reasonable amount of time – 30 turns is a good number to think about - Map must have WeeWar Times in the title: work it into the title, stick it off to the end after a dash, whatever just get it in there somehow - Entries are to be posted as a comment here - Finalists will be chosen by WeeWar Times writers and presented to the WeeWar Community for a vote to determine the winner via a poll on the forum, voting will be open for a week before the winner is announced This message was edited 2 times. I'm not a fan of 2 player games, but I'll make maps if people want.

| If this goes well and is as fun as I think it is going to be then maybe we'll do a team or FFA map contest in the future | |

Could this be stickied for the duration of the competition? It's not just shameless self-promotion
Hints and Guidelines and General Waffle By limiting ourselves to 2-player maps, we give ourselves a manageable amount to evaluate, but there's no reason not to do others, as Tyger says. Some characteristics of a good map for me are: Test your map(s) as both colo(u)rs of course and have fun! What you do will provide entertainment for many players and your claim to weewar fame and immortality are assured!

By above map seems to be liked by the few people i have asked, they said its a map that you learn from, you need to play afew times before you know how to play it best. Which i am really chuffed with, it shows that its not always the same game and that lots of different things can happy occurring to the choices you make. even if i do not win this.. i am happy that i have created a map that people seems to enjoy

| Will there be another competition coming up soon? | |
|
|
|
|
Nope,
I shut down the WeeWar Times and everyone has free pro now anyway so it's not that great a prize. |

Nobody is going to stop you from starting a new competition!
Yeah, the prize might have to change but otherwise I'm sure you'll find participants. |
